JCI AVRASYA LET’S SCALE UP ACCELERATION PROGRAM AND EURASIA STARTUP SUMMIT

As JCI Avrasya (JCI Genç Liderler ve Girişimciler Derneği Avrasya Şubesi), we process your personal data in accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) and relevant legislation. We also take all necessary technical and administrative measures as prescribed by law to ensure the protection of your data. Through this Privacy Police for Participants of the JCI Avrasya Let’s Scale Up Acceleration Program and Eurasia Startup Summit Event (“Information Notice”), we aim to inform you in detail about how your personal data is processed within the scope of the event.

 

JCI Avrasya processes your personal data in line with the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, international conventions to which Turkey is a party, the KVKK, and all applicable data protection legislation, and in accordance with the principles set out in Article 4 of the KVKK:

 

• Lawfulness and fairness,

• Being accurate and kept up to date where necessary.

• Being processed for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes.

• Being relevant, limited and proportionate to the purposes for which they are processed.

• Being stored for the period laid down by relevant legislation or the period required for the purpose for which the personal data are processed.

 

1. Personal Data Processed, Purposes of Processing, Collection Methods and Legal Grounds

 

Prior to and during your participation in the event organized by JCI Avrasya, the following personal data may be collected through the filling of the registration form and during the event itself:

 

Your name and surname, company information, job title, email address, phone number, residential address, informations about your startup, and other personal data you provide, as well as images (photo/video) taken during the event, are processed for the following purposes:

 

To register your participation in the event, to inform you about the event, to contact you after the event, to evaluate possible collaborations, to share your contact information with JCI Avrasya’s stakeholders to enable potential collaborations, to create promotional content about JCI Avrasya and the event using photos and videos, and publish them on JCI Avrasya’s social media accounts, to send promotional messages about JCI Avrasya.

 

Your personal data is processed in accordance with Article 5 of the KVKK based on legal grounds such as the necessity for the performance of a contract, the fact that the data has been made public by the data subject, or the legitimate interests of JCI Avrasya provided that it does not violate your fundamental rights and freedoms. For processing activities such as sharing your contact details with stakeholders or publishing your photo/video on social media, we rely on your explicit consent and collect your data through fully automated methods as part of a data recording system.

 

Transfer of Your Personal Data

 

Your personal data may be transferred to:

 

• Lawyers, auditors, tax consultants, and other third parties we receive services from, for the purposes of managing our business processes in accordance with law and legitimate interests and for exercising our legal rights in case of potential disputes;

• Your authorized legal representatives, in order to fulfill legal obligations;

• Regulatory and supervisory authorities, courts, enforcement offices, and other public institutions authorized to request your data, to comply with legal obligations;

• Our business partners, service providers, and suppliers for the purposes listed above, such as supporting event/business processes, archiving, infrastructure, and technical security, and with your consent, for promotional activities of JCI Avrasya and the event;

• Platin Yaka, for the organization of the acceleration program and provision of the venue;

• Platin Yaka and other stakeholders of JCI Avrasya, with your explicit consent, to evaluate and establish potential collaborations.

 

These transfers are made in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK.

 

Your Rights Regarding Personal Data

 

You have the right:

 

i. to learn whether his/her personal data are processed or not,

ii. to demand for information as to if his/her personal data have been processed,

iii. learn the purpose of the processing of his/her personal data and whether these personal data are used in compliance with the purpose,

iv. to know the third parties to whom his personal data are transferred in country or abroad,

v. to request the rectification of the incomplete or inaccurate data, if any,

vi. to request the erasure or destruction of his/her personal data under the conditions referred to in Article 7,

vii. to request reporting of the operations carried out pursuant to sub-paragraphs (d) and (e) to third parties to whom his/her personal data have been transferred,

viii. to object to the occurrence of a result against the person himself/herself by analyzing the data processed solely through automated systems,

ix. to claim compensation for the damage arising from the unlawful processing of his/her personal data.

 

In order to exercise these rights, you can submit your requests via registered mail with return receipt, in person, via notary, or by sending an email to presidentavrasya@jciturkiye.org from your registered email address using secure electronic signature or mobile signature.

 

Your request will be processed in accordance with relevant provisions of the KVKK. To confirm the identity of the applicant, JCI Avrasya may request additional verification information, which will be used solely to ensure the accuracy of the identity and the results of the request.

 

Explicit Consent Text for Promotional Activities

 

I hereby declare that I give explicit consent to JCI Avrasya (JCI Genç Liderler ve Girişimciler Derneği Avrasya Şubesi) to process the personal data I have shared via the Event Registration Form and during my participation in the event, for the purpose of creating promotional and advertising content about JCI Avrasya and the event and sharing this content on JCI Avrasya’s social media accounts, including those hosted outside of Turkey (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube).

 

Explicit Consent Text for Data Sharing with Stakeholders

 

I hereby declare that I give explicit consent to JCI Avrasya (JCI Genç Liderler ve Girişimciler Derneği Avrasya Şubesi) to share my personal data, including my contact information, which I provided via the Event Participation Form and during my participation in the event, with JCI Avrasya’s stakeholder Platin Yaka, for the purpose of evaluating and establishing potential collaborations.
